What we believe…

We Believe…
that there is one God who lives forever as
three persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit
We Believe…
that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah (Christ), the Son
of God; in His divinity, His pre-existence, His virgin birth,
His sinless life, His miracles, His shed blood
and actual death on the cross as a sacrifice for the
forgiveness of our sins, His resurrection from the dead,
His ascension to the Father in Heaven, and His future
physical return to earth to reign and rule forever.
We believe…
that the Holy Spirit lives in every person who has been
forgiven by God and we believe that He is our Teacher
and Comforter, and that He changes our hearts and
equips every one of us for the purpose of serving God.
We believe…
that the Bible is inspired by God and should be
used as the basis for our beliefs and our behaviors.
It is the standard of faith and practice.
We believe…
that all people have sinned against God and are thereby
condemned to suffer eternal separation from Him in
the lake of fire. We therefore believe that all people
need to be saved and that our only hope is found in
the sacrifice of God’s own Son on our behalf.
We believe…
that there are five foundational elements to the Apostles’
teachings concerning faith in Jesus Christ: rejection of
the belief that people are saved on the basis of their
own goodness, instead we need to have faith in God
alone; baptisms; laying on of hands; the future
resurrection of the dead; and eternal judgment.
We believe…
in unity for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
and seek community together; we believe that
the presence of the Holy Spirit in a person’s heart
is the only prerequisite for Christian fellowship
and that we should actively keep the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
