About TBF

Our Pastor

Pastor Mike Kerlin: I was born again in September of 1980 and called into the ministry by the Lord at an evening service in the old Rockwell Church in 1983. I served the Lord for several years in many capacities, such as Royal Ranger Commander, Men’s Ministries Leader, Head of Worship, and Deacon Board while running my own business as an electrician, Rockwell Protection Company. I eventually began Pastoral Studies from home, and after a few more years of study and in-person interviews and tests, I earned my License to Preach. Not long after this, I was led by the Lord to start a church in Nedrow. There are so many miraculous things God did to bring this plan to fruition, including selling my business, and Truth Bible Fellowship was established in 1996. I have been blessed beyond measure and I couldn’t have done any of this without the help of my beautiful wife of 43 years, Mary.

After many years of not being concerned with titles or certificates, I was convinced by my present denomination to accept “ordination”. I quietly and without celebration or fanfare became an Ordained Minster about two years ago. I don’t feel any different, I still love the church and her people, the members of our flock, and God with all my heart.

Our Church

We started in the Nedrow Fire Hall (where I am now the Chaplain) – renting the space and having to clean and set up and put away chairs and equipment for each service. Our first service was on November 17th, 1996, and was attended by over 50 people, and the next week by only one – but we gave it all we had and in the course of time we grew. We moved on to the the former P&C Market (now Dollar General), and from there to the Green Hills Plaza. The Lord opened up these opportunities for us, and we followed as He led. While we were at Green Hills Plaza, we started our Blue Door ministry.

Our next opportunity from God came with the purchase of our permanent home, the former Corpus Christi Catholic Church in the beautiful Village of South Onondaga, nestled in the rolling hills of the Toad Hollow (the old name for S.O.). We love our neighborhood and look forward to serving our new neighbors!

We will celebrate 28 years as a church in November, and we will have a great time and a real Thanksgiving for our Holy Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Our Invitation

A comment we hear often from visitors is how they can feel the love in our church. We welcome you and your family to join us in our mission!

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
